Kris Sorbie has achieved star status in the hairdressing industry. Two time winner and seven-time nominee of the prestigious NAHA Master Hairstylist of the Year (North American Hairstyling Awards), she also received the 2004 and 2005 Canadian International Hairstylist of the Year, an ABBIES award for Best Salon Education Program and at HairColor USA, Best Educator and Most Inspirational Educator of the Year.
Kris is recognized as a world-renowned leader in cutting-edge hair color concepts and techniques including the current trend of Ombré techniques. As an expert in the field of long hair styling, she raised the bar in the art of finishing. She has been lead stylist on many shows for NY Fashion Week and is a regular guest speaker at TeenVogue Fashion University.
Integrating her years of diverse experience as an art director, color consultant, video producer and Redken Exchange facilitator, Kris brings innovative trends and fashion-forward artistry to the forefront of the salon industry. Her ability to translate these into profit potential in the salon paves the way toward a better life for stylists, both financially and artistically. In her role as Redken Education Artistic Director, Kris equips salon stylists with the mastery to grow professionally and to profit from their role behind the chair.
During 2009 she started her own company, Kris Sorbie LLC and created the ‘B-ING WHERE YOU WANT TO B’ DVD. In 2010 Kris launched the hands-on Bespoke Color & Long Hair ‘Up Styling’ programs she offers around the country. Following that, in 2011 Kris released an exciting new ‘MembersOnly’ affordable online education program, providing stylists around the world with continuous inspiration, motivation and education.
